The Ambrogio 4.0 Basic High Cut robot is a durable robot mower that cuts at over 3 inches for typical 0.25-0.5 acre lots. Depending on its selected power unit, this robot can be configured to maintain 0.25 acres to 0.6 acres grassy area*. That is, not including the house, driveway, etc.
Note that the price in your cart is the total after selecting the power unit.
If your lot is more than 0.6 acres, take a look at the L210 Elite or the L250i Elite. If you have a lot larger than 0.8 acres, check out the L250i Elite S+ or the 350i Elite. Or, consider two 4.0 Elite robots configured with the Infinity System for double the capacity!
*Many factors determine the total range the robot can maintain, grass density, number of obstacles, etc.The area values are possible maximums (not guaranteed).
The key features of Ambrogio 4.0 Basic High Cut include:
- Jointed body
- Wide rubber tires
- Control via Smartphone app, including the ability to steer the robot
- Durable & robust build quality. Quality is identical to 4.0 Elite.
- Cutting height range: 2.8"-3.7"
- Front wheel steering
- Designed for St Augustine grass!
- Also available as 4.0 Basic "Low Cut": 0.8"-2.6" cutting height adjustment
The most unique feature of Ambrogio 4.0 robots is the jointed body that allows the robot to conform to the shape of the ground. The joint is between the deck and the drive wheels. It tilts side-to-side, preventing scalping of the grass on uneven terrain.
The Ambrogio 4.0 Basic High Cut Light, Ambrogio 4.0 Basic High Cut Medium, and the Ambrogio 4.0 Basic High Cut Premium are identical robots except for their power units. The chart on the Ambrogio 4.0 Basic High Cut model page indicates the lawn areas, battery size and typical working times for each power unit size.
Choose the power unit appropriate for your yard size and budget. You can always choose more mowing capacity for a smaller lawn. The advantages are: 1) faster completion if the robot is paused and 2) longer battery life time since it is possible to reduce the run time of each mowing cycle. Choose a larger-capacity power unit if your grass is dense and if you have many trees, flowerbeds or obstacles vs wide open areas.
All Ambrogio 4.0 models are fully autonomous and recharge themselves. And, they are Bluetooth-enabled and remote-communication-capable (Basic model requires option purchase). They can be steered and programmed from a smartphone in close proximity. Remote communication enables a sub-set of commands to be sent from anywhere in the world, such as "Work for a Time" or "Return to Station".
